Terms & conditions
Clear information about your purchase, course access and rights.
1. Who you are buying from
These terms apply to online courses and digital course materials purchased directly from Tailor Academy, a trading name of Salzburger Maßarbeit GmbH, Dorf 96, 5205 Schleedorf, Austria (“we”, “us”). Our courses are delivered entirely online; no physical goods are supplied.
Contact: [email protected] · +43 677 62802923. Full company details are in our Imprint.
The course description, price and payment plan shown when you order form part of your agreement. Changes to these terms do not change an existing purchase unless we agree otherwise with you or the law requires it.
We welcome learners worldwide, including young people. If you are under the age of legal majority, a parent or legal guardian must make or approve your booking where required by applicable law.
2. Ordering & payment
Before ordering, you can review your course, total price, currency, applicable taxes and payment schedule. Available payment methods are shown at checkout. By submitting an order using the payment button, you make a binding offer to buy.
We accept your order by confirming acceptance or providing course access. This normally happens automatically after successful payment. We send your order confirmation by email.
Payments are due according to the plan you select. Bank or currency-conversion charges imposed by your own payment provider are outside our control.
3. Your course access
Courses are delivered online. You need an email address, an internet connection and a device with a current browser that can play video and open PDF files. Videos are streamed; patterns and other materials marked for download can be saved and printed.
The course page explains what is included and when units become available. Masterclass units normally unlock every two weeks. Where we agree a later course start with you, that agreed date applies to the release schedule.
Your paid and unlocked Masterclass units and patterns remain available permanently, including after completion or cancellation. The Basic Sewing Course and Perfect Fit Mastery also include lifetime access. Access to a refunded course or refunded units ends when the purchase is reversed.
Your account is for your own use. Keep your login details private and let us know if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Cancelling a Masterclass payment plan
Simply let us know, for example by emailing [email protected].
- Pay per unit: cancel at any time. Future unit releases and payments stop from the next unit.
- Two-payment plan: you can cancel before the second course year begins, so the second payment is not due.
- One-time payment: there is no ongoing renewal to cancel.
You keep access to the units you have already paid for. Cancelling future payments does not by itself refund past payments; the guarantee and statutory rights below remain available.
5. Our money-back guarantee
- Masterclass: six weeks.
- Basic Sewing Course: six weeks.
- Perfect Fit Mastery: seven days.
The guarantee begins on your course start date. If we agree a later start with you, the full guarantee period begins on that agreed date.
You are welcome to watch the videos and try the course during the guarantee period. If the course is not right for you, email [email protected] within the guarantee period. We will refund the payments you have made for that course and stop any further payments for it. You do not need to justify your decision.
This voluntary guarantee is additional to your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal and rights if digital content or services are defective.
6. Your statutory right of withdrawal
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise this right, inform us (Salzburger Maßarbeit GmbH, Dorf 96, 5205 Schleedorf, Austria; +43 677 62802923; [email protected]) of your decision by an unequivocal statement, for example a letter sent by post or an email. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send your notice before the withdrawal period expires.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision. We will use the same payment method you used, unless you expressly agree otherwise. You will not incur reimbursement fees.
You can start learning straight away. We do not require you to waive your statutory right of withdrawal to start your course. Watching videos or using the digital materials during the withdrawal period does not take that right away, and we do not deduct a usage fee if you withdraw.
Our money-back guarantee in section 5 and any more favourable mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
7. Using your course materials
Your purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the course materials you have purchased and unlocked. You may make copies of downloadable materials for your own use.
You must not share account access or redistribute, publish, resell or make our videos, patterns or other course materials available to others without permission, except where the law permits it.
You may sell garments you sew using your unlocked patterns, with no quantity limit. This permission covers the finished garments, not the patterns or course materials themselves.
8. Problems with your course
If access is not working or the course does not match what was agreed, contact [email protected]. We usually reply within one to two business days.
Your statutory rights relating to the supply and conformity of digital content and services, including required updates and remedies for defects, remain unaffected. Our liability is governed by applicable law; these terms do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Applicable law
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your habitual residence where those protections apply. Statutory rules on jurisdiction remain unaffected.
If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. The invalid provision is governed by the applicable statutory rules.
