This course is aimed at bespoke tailors and ambitious sewing professionals who want to take their skills in high-end menswear to the next level. It is ideal for those who already have basic experience in garment construction and now wish to specialize or refine their techniques.
Prior knowledge is essential: you should already have experience in making jackets and trousers. For graduates of our Masterclass, we recommend having completed at least up to Unit 27 in order to fully benefit from this course.
To start, all you need is a basic set of sewing tools and a reliable household sewing machine.
For those looking to advance their tailoring career professionally, investing in an industrial sewing machine and a professional steam ironing station can be a valuable addition to your studio setup.
This course is aimed at bespoke tailors and ambitious sewing professionals who want to elevate their skills in high-quality menswear. It’s ideal for those who already have basic experience in garment construction and now wish to specialize or refine their techniques.

Yes, upon successful completion of the exam, you will receive a diploma. This can be an advantage when applying for jobs and serve as a mark of quality and assurance for clients in your atelier.
The exam is challenging, but anyone who has watched all the videos, prepared for the exam questions, and sewn the garments properly will be able to pass it without difficulty.
The optional final exam consists of the following parts:
Theoretical exam: Answering questions in a multiple-choice format.
Practical exam: Review and evaluation (based on photos) of three completed pieces. The selection of garments is predetermined and includes a blazer, a pair of trousers, and a jacket.
Participants of the Bespoke Tailoring Course can register for the exam after the final unit has been unlocked by paying an exam fee. Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate.
The 13 patterns come in sizes 44–64 (roughly equivalent to sizes S–3XL).
You can either print the patterns yourself in A4 or have them plotted in A0 at a print shop. The PDFs are included in each unit.
As with all our courses, the professional tailor patterns come with our comprehensive Tailor Academy license: you may use them permanently for custom client work, even in a professional tailoring business.
